چکیده

The present paper investigates to examine the in vitro antibacterial activities of the chromium nanopartical which preparied by -green synthesis techniquesreduction of potassium dichromate solution with Arachis hypogaea leaf extract containing reducing sugars which act as reducing agent. Chromium nanoparticles were shown to be an effective control of two phytopathogenic bacteria, namely Erwinia carotovora and Pseudomonas fluorescens, which cause several diseases in fruits and vegetables. Cr2O3 nanoparticales with different concentrations (15 μl, 25 μl and 35 μl) were showed a marked reduction of extracellular enzymes activity such as cellulase, pectinase and protease that produced by two phytopathogen organisms. The antibacterial effect of Cr2O3 nanoparticles against Erwinia carotovora and Pseudomonas fluorescens with different concentrations of Cr2O3 nano particles by using disc diffusion. It showed antibacterial activity against Erwinia carotovora (46 mm) and Pseudomonas fluorescens (39 mm). Keywords— Cr2O3 nanoparticles, Antibacterial, Erwinia, Pseudomonas.

Rapid identification and differentiation of the soft rot erwinias by 16S-23S intergenic transcribed spacer-PCR and restriction fragment length polymorphism analyses.

Current identification methods for the soft rot erwinias are both imprecise and time-consuming. We have used the 16S-23S rRNA intergenic transcribed spacer (ITS) to aid in their identification. Analysis by ITS-PCR and ITS-restriction fragment length polymorphism was found to be a simple, precise, and rapid method compared to current molecular and phenotypic techniques. The ITS was amplified fro...

Role of RpoS in virulence and stress tolerance of the plant pathogen Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora.

The plant-pathogenic bacterium Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora causes plant disease mainly through a number of extracellular plant-cell-wall-degrading enzymes. In this study, the ability of an rpoS mutant of the Er. carotovora subsp. carotovora strain SCC3193 to infect plants and withstand environmental stress was characterized. This mutant was found to be sensitive to osmotic and oxidativ...

Identification of a global repressor gene, rsmA, of Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora that controls extracellular enzymes, N-(3-oxohexanoyl)-L-homoserine lactone, and pathogenicity in soft-rotting Erwinia spp.

The production of extracellular enzymes such as pectate lyase (Pel), polygalacturonase (Peh), cellulase (Cel), and protease (Prt) is activated by the cell density (quorum)-sensing signal, N-(3-oxohexanoyl)-L-homoserine lactone (HSL); plant signals; and aep genes during postexponential growth of Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora 71. Studies with mutants of E. carotovora subsp. carotovora 71 d...

Isolation of an extracellular protease gene of Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora strain SCC3193 by transposon mutagenesis and the role of protease in phytopathogenicity.

Using mini-Tn5CmR::gusA, a transposon that allows transcriptional fusions to a promoterless beta-glucuronidase gene, a mutant of Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora SCC3193 deficient in extracellular protease production and soft-rot pathogenicity in plants was isolated. The mutant, designated SCC6004, produced normal levels of pectate lyase, polygalacturonase and cellulase. The region of the t...
